How to collect the AInfo log for FineReader PDF 16?

Answer

To collect the report file, please follow one of the instructions below:

From the program's interface

1. Start FineReader PDF.
2. Go to the Help menu > select About….
3. Click the System Info… button.
4. Click the Save... button in the opened AInfo window.
5. Save a file as an archive (AInfo.zip).

From the installation folder (if the product cannot be launched)

1. Open the installation folder of the application (by default, it is C:\Program Files\ABBYY FineReader 16).
2. Run ainfo.exe.
3. Click the Save... button in the opened AInfo window.
4. Save a file as an archive (AInfo.zip).

From the folder using the ainfo.exe attached below (if the program is not installed)

1. Download the AInfo_portable.zip attached at the bottom of the article.
2. Extract the archive to any folder on your computer.
3. Run the ainfo.exe.
4. Click the Save... button in the opened AInfo window.
5. Save the file as an archive (AInfo.zip).

From the License Server

1. Open the administrative installation folder on the computer where the License Server is installed (e.g. FineReader16_server_install).
2. Open the Bin sub-folder > ABBYY FineReader 16.
3. Run ainfo.exe.
4. Click the Save... button in the opened AInfo window.
5. Save the file as an archive (AInfo.zip).

To collect the AInfo log from the License Server you can also use the method described in the section From the folder using the ainfo.exe attached below (if the program is not installed).
