Symptoms
The following error message appears when FineReader PDF is started:
Internal program data is corrupted. Error code: 519
Cause
The error message may be caused by the antivirus or other third-party software (e.g., CCleaner) installed on the computer.
There is a known issue that the CCleaner registry cleaner can remove some important information from the System Registry and as a result, the error code 519 appears.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, please follow the steps below:
- Uninstall the program using standard Windows methods: click Start and type Control Panel, and select it.
- Select Programs > Programs and Features.
- Right-click the FineReader PDF version that needs to be uninstalled and select Uninstall.
- Temporarily disable the antivirus software installed on the computer.
- Download the distribution kit of the latest release of the appropriate FineReader PDF version: Download links for FineReader.
- Install the program again.
- After the installation has been completed, enable the antivirus software.
To avoid such a situation in the future, it is recommended to add the FineReader PDF folders to the exceptions of the antivirus software (and/or CCleaner).
For FineReader PDF 16:
