How to upgrade the installation of FineReader PDF 15 to FineReader PDF 16?
Answer
FineReader PDF 16 requires a full-new installation. The deployment is the same as it was for FineReader PDF 15.
Standalone licenses:
Perform a local software installation using the distribution kit of FineReader PDF 16 for local installation.
Concurrent and Remote User licenses:
A new administrative installation with the License Server and License Manager for FineReader PDF 16 is required: Administrative installation with License Server and License Manager. FineReader PDF 16 needs to be deployed on the workstations from the administrative installation folder.
The License Manager of FineReader PDF 15 will not support the licenses of FineReader PDF 16.
Per Seat licenses:
A new local installation or administrative installation with the License Server and License Manager for FineReader PDF 16 is required.
