Cannot map an existing database column to a field in Export to ODBC-compatible database settings.

Symptoms

During the field mapping, while setting up the export to the SQL server database, the required database table column is not visible in the list of available columns, though it exists in the database table.

Cause

Using other than OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers provider can cause issues.

Resolution

  • Use OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers provider for a Microsoft SQL 2016 SP2, 2017, or 2019 database.
  • Type in the name of the required column manually and press Enter. After that, the column will be visible in the list.
