Symptoms

“Error when installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistribute (x86) - 14.32.31326 component: 1638” error message occurs during installation of ABBYY Finereader PDF 16 on a workstation running Windows portion of a Mac (Windows 11) via Parallels.

Resolution

Please perform the installation using MSI file as described in our Administrator's guide: https://help.abbyy.com/en-us/finereader/16/admin_guide/msi/.
To install ABBYY FineReader PDF 16, use the ABBYY FineReader PDF x64.msi file from the folder containing the setup files (by default C:\temp\FR16\Bin):
