Symptoms

Virtual printer PDF-X-Change 5.0 disappeared from the list of available printers in the system and doesn't show up as available for printing after restarting the system. 

Cause

System updates or other changes could affect the situation. 

Resolution

1. Uninstall FineReader PDF 15 from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
2. Remove the content from the following folders: 

• C:\Program Files (x86)\ABBYY FineReader 15
• C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\FineReader 15; 
  Note: the folder Program Data can be hidden. To show hidden folders consult the following link: Show hidden files
• C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\ABBYY\FineReader 15;
• C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\ABBYY\FineReader 15.

3. Reinstall the program using the distribution kit.
