How automatically refresh OAuth tokens in FlexiCapture?

Question

How automatically refresh OAuth tokens in FlexiCapture?

Answer

The OAuth tokens are automatically refreshed starting from ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Release 4 Update 2.

This functionality is based on Token Management Service, a service that stores and automatically updates tokens. The new IIS service called FlexiCapture 12 Token Management is installed together with ABBYY FlexiCapture.

It allows keeping and automatically refreshing OAuth2 tokens within FlexiCapture 12, specifically for export to SharePoint Online, or for import from The Microsoft Graph API and IMAP.

When upgrading from previous versions of FlexiCapture 12, for Token Management Service to work properly you need to re-connect to the database (see Connecting to an existing database for the details). When connecting to a new database, IIS pools should be recycled as well.

Token Management Service works only for projects located on the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Application Server. Authentication tokens in local projects cannot be refreshed automatically with Token Management Service

After the update, you will need to re-authenticate for Token Management Service to store the authentication tokens and refresh them automatically.

The latest build is available for download here: FlexiCapture 12 Distributed.
