Symptoms

FineReader Engine installation fails with the error message: "You specified an invalid destination folder. Please provide the correct value"

Cause

The error occurs if the specified folder cannot be created due to a lack of permissions or if the INSTALLDIR parameter of the setup command is empty.

Resolution

Please check the access rights and specify the INSTALLDIR parameter.
