How to save user dictionaries created in FineReader PDF 15 and import them to FineReader PDF 16?
Answer
User dictionaries can be saved in FineReader PDF 15 and imported to FineReader PDF 16 as follows:
- In FineReader PDF 15, start the OCR Editor.
- Open a document.
- Go to Tools > View Dictionaries.
- Double-click the necessary dictionary > select Export.
- Specify a folder where user dictionaries will be stored.
By default, user dictionaries are stored in %Userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\ABBYY\FineReader\16\FineReaderShell\UserDictionaries.
To import the dictionaries to FineReader PDF 16:
- In the OCR Editor, click Tools > View Dictionaries....
- In the User Dictionaries dialog box, select the language of the dictionary and click View....
- In the Dictionary for... dialog box, click Import... and specify the path to the dictionary.
- Select the dictionary file and click Open.
