In ABBYY Advanced Designer, when using a static text element, sometimes it is not possible to select  'element region' so that the controls appear in order to set the search direction in relation to the element. 

So how to is it possible to set the search direction in relation to the element in the Vantage?

In order for controls to be shown, match (1) the element first:

After the element is detected, it will show the controls. For this, please perform the following actions:

1. Switch to the element for which the search area has to be drawn (2).
2. Click on the Draw on Image button (3).
3. Point “＋” cursor on the element's region which has to be used as a source for the relations to be set (4) and click on it.
