The Thai alphabet is not shown while creating a custom data type in the field properties > Data > Data Type. There are blank squares instead of alphabet symbols:

Cause

Required fonts are not installed on the machine. The region of the machine does not support the fonts.

Resolution

Change the region to Thai on the machine or install additional Thai fonts:
