ICR new language and improvements

ABBYY OCR Container supports the following four languages for ICR:

  • English

  • German

  • French (improved)—The quality of French ICR has been enhanced by approximately 5% compared to the previous version.

  • Spanish (new)—Support for handwritten text recognition of the Spanish language has been added in v1.1. Recognition for Spanish is of the same quality level as that for English, German, and French.

Handwritten is enabled by default for OCR in these languages

Improvements to OCR Technologies

  • Further improvements to the quality of Japanese OCR
  • OCR quality on Documents with Watermarks
  • OCR for some European documents
  • Changes in licensing
  • Empty results caused by Spanish being the only recognition language.

  • HTTP Response 400 for files larger than 128 MB.
