Testing external IdP with SAML 2.0 protocol fails with an error: 'api://platform.abbyy.cloud' was not found in the directory '********'.

Symptoms

After the external IdP setup, the test described in the following articles fails with an error.

Testing external authentication (vantage-us.abbyy.com)

Testing external authentication (vantage-eu.abbyy.com)

Testing external authentication (vantage-au.abbyy.com)

An example error message (for Azure AD setup):

Message: AADSTS700016: Application with identifier 'api://platform.abbyy.cloud' was not found in the directory '********'. This can happen if the application has not been installed by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by any user in the tenant. You may have sent your authentication request to the wrong tenant.

Cause

The sample test link has the tenantId parameter missing. The tenantId parameter is required for SAML 2.0 implementation.

Resolution

Add the tenantId parameter with Vantage Tenant ID to the test link.
