How to set a default value for a text field?

 

Answer

It is possible to do it with the Advanced Script Rule:  

  • In the field settings create a new Advanced Script Rule:


     
  • Select required field/s and tick the Changed by the rule option for the field that will be changed by a script rule, i.e.:


     
  • The sample script can be as follows (but may require modifications/changes based on the specific scenario):
