Error message when closing file located on a cloud: "A sharing violation occurred while accessing a file"

Symptoms

When closing a document located on a cloud or in the network folder on the Close button in FineReader PDF, the following error message appears:

A sharing violation occurred while accessing <file name>.

Cause

The reason for the error is temporarily unknown.

Resolution

Currently, there is no definite fix for the appearance of this error message. It is under investigation.

Please use one of two existing workarounds: 

  1. Wait a few seconds before closing a document with a Close button.
  2. Save the document by clicking File > Save as.
