How to deactivate a license via License Manager in FineReader Engine?

Answer

These steps are applicable to Software-protected licenses only:

• FineReader Engine for Windows
  1. Start the License Manager utility (LicenseManager.exe)
  2. Right-click on the serial number of the license that should be deactivated
  3. Select the Deactivate option in the drop-down list
     
  4. The License Manager starts the deactivation wizard here. Please confirm the deactivation by clicking the Next button
     
  5. If everything is fine, the License Manager shows the appropriate message
     
• FineReader Engine for Linux
  1. Start the License Manager utility in Terminal (Bin/LicenseManager.Console)
  2. Select the license that should be deactivated from the list
     
  3. Select the Deactivate license option
     
  4. The License Manager starts the deactivation wizard here. Please confirm the deactivation by clicking the Go to the next page option
     
  5. If everything is fine, the License Manager shows the appropriate message
     

Note: Online license doesn't require deactivation.
