Symptoms

The form field content cannot be edited or changed for the document in FineReader PDF. How to edit the content of the form field in the program? 

Cause

The cause of the issue is related to the fact, that the Read-Only option for the form field is enabled.

Resolution

To make the form field editable, please follow the next steps: 

1. Launch FineReader PDF and open the document in PDF Editor.
2. In the main menu, navigate to the Form Editor tab: 
   
3. Right-click on the required form field and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
4. In the General tab, disable the Read-Only option and click OK (as per the screenshot below):
5. Go to the Document tab to edit the content of the form field.
