Question
The parameters of the license have been changed, e.g. number of licenses or expiration date.
How to update the license parameters of the FineReader PDF volume license (Concurrent, Remote User) if there is no Internet connection on a server?
Answer
Please update the license in the License Manager as follows:
- Open the License Manager utility.
- Select a serial number on the Serial numbers pane > click Update.
- Select the "by email from another computer" update method.
Using the "by email from another computer" update method requires another computer that has access to the Internet to be used. Follow the steps of the License Update Wizard to receive the license file for the update. -
After receiving the license file, please transfer it to a server and provide the path to the license file for the corresponding serial number. Click Next and finish the update.
Note: If several serial numbers need to be updated, steps 2-4 should be repeated for each serial number.
As an alternative, please submit a request to our Support Team specifying the serial numbers for which the updated license files are needed. In response, the updated license files will be sent. After receiving the license files, please follow the steps below:
- Open the License Manager utility.
- Select a serial number on the Serial numbers pane > click Update.
- Select Load license file and click Next.
- Provide the path to the corresponding license file for the serial number. Click Next and finish the update.
- In the case of several licenses, repeat steps 2-4 for the rest of the licenses, paying attention that the license file should correspond to the serial number.
