How to change the size of the FineReader PDF 16 window for 4K monitors

How can the size of the FineReader PDF 16 window be increased permanently?

Answer

When using FineReader PDF on high-resolution or 4K monitors, interface elements such as menus, icons, and text may appear very small. To adjust the interface and change the DPI scaling for FineReader PDF only, please apply the recommendations below:

  1. Close Finereader PDF.
  2. Right-click the Finereader PDF shortcut (or exe file in C:\Program Files\ABBYY FineReader 16).

  3. Select Properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI settings.

  4. Check the box Override high DPI scaling behavior and choose System (Enhanced).

  5. Click OK, then restart Finereader PDF.
