Migrating from Vantage 2.7 to Vantage 3.0

During migration

The migration is:

  • Largely automated and handled by ABBYY’s Site Reliability Engineering team
  • Asynchronous
  • No live customer participation required during the data migration

Downtime

No extended downtime or disruption to document processing is anticipated during the migration to Vantage 3.0
  • Your Vantage 2.7 environment will remain fully operational throughout the migration window, including document processing and mail/folder imports.
  • The only required action prior to migration is to ensure all skills are published and user invites are accepted before the scheduled migration start time.

After migration

  • Both Vantage 2.7 and Vantage 3.0 are accessible in parallel for up to 14 days
    • This allows validation, confidence-building, and completion of in-flight transactions
  • Upon login, you will see both tenants listed, clearly labeled by version (2.7 or 3.0)
  • You can choose which tenant to open during login
  • Support hypercare lasts up to one week
    • After your hypercare period is complete, standard support processes apply
  • Refer to new documentation: Vantage 3 Documentation
  • Once Vantage 3.0 is fully operational and all transactions have completed, the Vantage 2.7.3 tenant will be marked for deletion by ABBYY

‼️Required Customer Actions After Migration

After migration, customers must:

  1. Create a new OAuth client secret for Vantage 3.0 API access
    • Same base URL, new credentials
  2. Update folder import integrations
    • Point SFTP connections to the new 3.0 IP address
  3. Upgrade Advanced Designer to version 3
  4. Review and re-enable:
    • Mail imports
    • Folder imports (if applicable)
  5. Validate skills, data catalogs, and workflows in 3.0
