Issue

The following error message appears during recognition process in FineReader: 

Access to C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\FineReader\<version>\FontCache\SystemFactory.Cache\<fontname>.fch was denied

Cause

The issue occurs when font cache files were corrupted.

Resolution

In order to fix the issue follow the steps below:

1. Exit FineReader (File > Exit) in case it has been launched.
2. Delete the content of C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\FineReader\<version>\FontCache\SystemFactory.Cache folder.
   Please note that the ProgramData folder may be hidden.
3. Launch FineReader again. Font cache will be created anew.
