What is the difference between FineReader PDF for iOS and a regular digital camera?

Answer

FineReader PDF for iOS not only takes a photo of the document like a regular digital camera, but also:

  1. Automatically corrects the perspective to generate a rectangular and upright image.
  2. Crop away unnecessary borders (the table the document is on, for example).
  3. Uses black and white, color or grayscale filters to eliminate noise, enhance contrast and brightness.
  4. The resulting copy is optimized for viewing and printing. You can export it as a multipage PDF or a JPEG image.
