What are the limitations of handprinted text recognition in FineReader Engine?

Answer

Handprinted text is non-cursive handwritten text with all characters written separately.

There are several limitations on handprinted text recognition in FineReader Engine:

• The coordinates of the blocks that contain handprinted text must be specified manually. A detailed overview and examples of implementation can be found in the Developer's Help article Recognizing Handprinted Text.
• Not all recognition languages are available for handprint recognition. The languages that are available for handprint recognition are marked with a special comment in the list of the predefined recognition languages supported in FineReader Engine.
