How to view, collect, or check scanning logs for SDK products?

Answer

There are two log files, scantwain.txt, and scanwia.txt. They are located in the following folders:

  • %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\ABBYY\ScanManager\11.00 in Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003;
  • %userprofile%\AppData\Local\ABBYY\ScanManager\11.00 in Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 and above.

It is also possible to view the engine logs and the licensing logs.
