How to get the information about the build number of the Engine product used?

Answer

The build number of FineReader Engine FlexiCapture SDK, and FlexiCapture Engine is a piece of information that is required in most cases to troubleshoot any issues.

The build number of FineReader Engine FlexiCapture SDK, and FlexiCapture Engine can be found in FREngine.dll (FCEngine.dll) file properties.

1. Open Bin64 or Bin subfolder of the ABBYY product installation folder. 
   By default:
   • for FineReader Engine 12, it's
     C:\Program Files\ABBYY SDK\12\FineReader Engine
   • for FlexiCapture SDK, it's
     C:\Program Files\ABBYY SDK\12\FlexiCapture SDK
   • for FlexiCapture Engine 12, it's
     C:\Program Files\ABBYY SDK\12\FlexiCapture Engine
2. Find the FREngine.dll (FCEngine.dll) file
3. Open the file properties
4. Open "Details" bookmark
5. Check the product version value.

The Engine build version number is also displayed in the application log.
