During using of ABBYY product the following error message appears: "XML parsing failed, line 0 character 0".

During using ABBYY product the following error message appears:

XML parsing failed, line 0 character 0. XML document must have a top level element.

In order to resolve the issue follow the steps below:

1. Close ABBYY product.

2. Delete content of the following folders:

  • %userprofile%\AppData\Local\ABBYY\<product name>\<version>
  • %programdata%\ABBYY\<product name>\<version>

3. Launch ABBYY product.
