How to save a backup copy of the Cardholder from BCR for iOS?

Answer

With the use of backup, it is possible to save cards from your Cardholder to your PC and then restore them on the mobile device. It can be helpful if the mobile device will be changed, lost, or broken.

To back up your Cardholder data:

1. Start the app > tap Settings.
2. Select Cardholder > Backup.
3. Transfer a backup to a computer.

Mac:

1. Connect the device to a Mac and open Finder.
2. Select your device in Locations. Open the Files tab.
3. Select ABBYY Business Card Reader in the list of applications with common files.
4. Copy the Abbyy_auto/user_xx-xx-xx.bcr.zip file to any suitable folder on your Mac.

Windows:

1. Connect the device to a PC and open iTunes.
2. Select your device in iTunes. Open the File Sharing page.
3. Select ABBYY Business Card Reader in the list of applications with common files.
4. Copy the Abbyy_auto/user_xx-xx-xx.bcr.zip file to any suitable folder on your PC.

To enable autobackup, please do the following:

1. Start the app > go to Settings.
2. Select Cardholder > Backup.
3. Tap Autobackup period and select the period for autobackup.
