Installation of FineReader 14 is stopped with an error message:

Cannot load DLL C:\TEMP\FR14\ABBYY FineReader 14\ProductLicensingShared.dll.
The specified module could not be found.

This may be happening if you unpacked the distributive to a registry-sensitive folder.

How to find out if the folder is case-sensitive:

1. Open the cmd as Administrator;
2. Type the following:
   

   fsutil file queryCaseSensitiveInfo <directory path>

You will see the result in the next line.

If the folder where you unpacked the distributive is indeed case-sensitive, unpack the distributive to a case-insensitive folder or disable case-sensitivity for the folder you are using.

How to disable case-sensitivity:

1. Open the cmd as Administrator;
2. Type the following:
   

   fsutil.exe file setCaseSensitiveInfo <directory path> disable

Try repeating the installation. If the error message keeps appearing, contact the support staff.
