Updates and Downloads

An update for ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap 4.1 (Windows version) is available to download. This update is intended for the program with part number #56422 (version 4.0), #7254, #7259, #72515 and #72520 (version 4.1).

Update 4 includes:

• Bug fix for avoiding character corruption in recognition results when using the "Scan to Searchable PDF" option with Japanese recognition language in Windows 10.
• Bug fix for avoiding character corruption in an End User License Agreement (EULA) when installing ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap for the Korean user interface in Windows 10.

This update includes the following changes (from Update 3):

For version #72520:

• Enhanced recognition (Japanese language)
• Windows Server 2003, 2008 and Windows XP x64 Edition support

For version #56422:

• Windows 7 support
• Microsoft Office 2010 support
• Bug fixes in export module have been made

For version #7254, #7259 and #72515:

• Windows 7 support
• Microsoft Office 2010 support

Note: To check the part number of your distributive, please open the main window of ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap and click the About button.

Steps to install the update:

1. Download the FRSS41_Patch_72527.exe (142 MB) and save it on your computer where ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap is installed.
2. Close ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap.
3. Run the update: FRSS41_Patch_72527.exe.

Note: Please register your copy of ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap by filling out the registration form.
