Symptoms

In case of deploying FineReader Engine 12 Linux, especially in Docker containers, you may face the following issue:  

Online licensing error: 8BDF88188BDF8818F45FAF19DFEDCF79, 0x0000 0x0003 0x003C

Cause

The issue appears due to missing ca-certificates and gettext-base packages (the first for the online license, the second - for generating Java sample parameters).

Resolution

In order to solve the issue, please do the following:

1. In terminal apply the following command: 
   sudo apt-get install ca-certificates
2. In terminal apply the following command: 
   sudo apt-get install gettext-base
