"Please configure your mail account" message in BCR for iOS


When trying to send a business card via email or export a CSV file in the Business Card Reader for iOS application, the system dialog with the warning appears:

Please configure your mail account.


The Business Card Reader application uses an email account that is set up in the standard iOS Mail application on a mobile device. The warning message appears as a result of the email account not being configured in the Mail application.


To resolve the issue, please follow the steps:

  1. Check if the Mail application is installed on the device.
    If the Mail application is not installed, install it from the App Store.
  2. Add an account to the application as described in the following Apple Knowledge Base article: How to set up your email account.
