FineReader 14 does not support integration with Microsoft Office applications. That is, FineReader 14 add-in will not be present in the add-ins tab of Microsoft Office programs.
Alternatively, you can use the context menu in Windows Explorer to convert files, as FineReader 14 integrates with Windows Explorer. To convert a file, follow the steps below:
- Right-click on the file to call the context menu.
- Choose Convert with ABBYY FineReader 14.
- Select the required format, e.g. Convert to searchable PDF.
More detailed information can be found in the corresponding article of the User's guide: Integration with Windows Explorer.
Another way to create PDF documents from Microsoft Office applications is to use the virtual printer PDF-XChange 5.0 for ABBYY FineReader 14. Please find detailed information in the corresponding article of the User's Guide: Using a virtual printer to create PDF documents.
Additionally, the latest version of the program FineReader PDF 15 supports the integration with MS Office applications.
