Integration with MS Office applications in FineReader 14 (not supported)

FineReader 14 does not support integration with Microsoft Office applications. That is, FineReader 14 add-in will not be present in the add-ins tab of Microsoft Office programs.

Alternatively, you can use the context menu in Windows Explorer to convert files, as FineReader 14 integrates with Windows Explorer. To convert a file, follow the steps below:

  1. Right-click on the file to call the context menu.
  2. Choose Convert with ABBYY FineReader 14.
  3. Select the required format, e.g. Convert to searchable PDF.

More detailed information can be found in the corresponding article of the User's guide: Integration with Windows Explorer.

Another way to create PDF documents from Microsoft Office applications is to use the virtual printer PDF-XChange 5.0 for ABBYY FineReader 14. Please find detailed information in the corresponding article of the User's Guide: Using a virtual printer to create PDF documents.

Additionally, the latest version of the program FineReader PDF 15 supports the integration with MS Office applications.
