When it comes to combining multiple files into a single PDF, FineReader can process the task for a longer time than expected.

Cause

The situation can be caused due to the usage of certain preprocessing options enabled by default.

Resolution

Please try to apply the following recommendations to solve the issue:

1. Disable changing image quality, resolution and compression as below:
   
   If PDF files to combine are searchable, please select in Full-text search: As in original document.
2. Disable image preprocessing settings as described in the article: How to disable image preprocessing in FineReader PDF.
   

If the situation is still relevant, please submit a request to the Customer Support Team, providing the relevant PDF documents.
