Symptoms

During importing a file FineReader Pro crashes with the following error message:

FineReader quit unexpectedly.

Cause

The issue can be caused by some specific symbols in the folder name (which are supported for macOS) where the file is located, e.g.: test🔴. At the moment such an issue is know to our development team.

Resolution

As a workaround we recommend to move files for processing to another folder or remove special symbols from the folder name.
