Error message occurs during FineReader PDF 15 update

Symptoms 

During the update installation for FineReader PDF 15 the following error message occurs:

C:\Program Files (x86)\ABBYY FineReader 15\concrt140.dll was not found.

Resolution

To update FineReader PDF 15 to the latest version, please follow these steps:

  1. Close FineReader PDF 15.
  2. Close ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 Update in the system tray if it was started.

  3. Download the latest release of the corresponding program version: Downloading FineReader PDF 15, FineReader 14 and PDF Transformer+.

  4. Double-click the downloaded distribution kit file and follow the instructions on the screen.

  5. After the installation is finished, delete the content of the folder C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\FineReader\15\Updates.
