It is a known issue when FineReader Pro for Mac crashes on New Task stage after connecting/disconnecting a device.

When you connect a device (e.g. an iPhone) to your Mac, your device is detected by FineReader Pro for Mac as an image source. Disconnecting when the program is launched may cause a crash when you open a New Task window.

We recommend not connecting or disconnecting devices when the program is launched.
