"Error (500) Cannot continue the execution because the session is in the kill state" during document processing

This article applies to FlexiCapture 12 build 12.0.3.2655 and earlier.

Description

The error message "Error (500) Cannot continue the execution because the session is in the kill state. In method..." most often occurs when importing an image or uploading a project to the FlexiCapture server.

Cause

The error is caused by an incompatibility between FlexiCapture and SQL Server 2019.

Resolution

The solution is to downgrade to an earlier version of SQL Server or by setting the compatibility level on the database to SQL 2017.

Note: SQL Server 2019 is officially supported with FlexiCapture 12 build 12.0.3.4040.
