It is a known issue when FineReader 15 stops working correctly on computers where Dell Support Assistance is installed (for example, you can see Error code 258).
This is connected to the fact that Dell Support Assistant can delete files and registry keys of third-party software.
As it is not possible to add folders, registry keys and programs to exceptions of Dell Support Assistant, we recommend repairing FineReader 15 if you are not able to use the program after Dell Support Assistant has been run.
Note: It's recommended not to start Dell Support Assistant while FineReader or it's components (ScreenshotReader, HotFolder) is running. Close FineReader and components beforehand.
