Adding only text layer to PDF document in PDF Editor

Question

Is it possible to add only recognized text to the PDF file without changing the image?

Answer

To add only a text layer to a document and exclude the preprocessing of its image, recognize a document in the PDF Editor and save it as described below: 

  1. On the New Task screen, click Open PDF Document and select the document.
  2. In the PDF Editor click the Recognize button on the toolbar and Recognize Document... 

  3. Specify the OCR languages of the document:

    If needed, it is possible to enable some options of image preprocessing as well, such as Correct page orientation and Deskew images and correct image resolution
  4. Click the Recognize button.
  5. After a text layer has been added, save the document by clicking button or Save As > PDF Document (Ctrl+S).

A searchable PDF will be received, in which is possible to can search, select, and copy text.
