Where to find lost serial number/activation key for FineReader?
Registered users can restore their Serial Number in case it was lost during system reinstallation.
It's recommended to submit a request to Support Team. For Support Team to be able to find information about a serial number of FineReader please provide any available piece of the following information:
- Any information which could be used to register FineReader (first and last name, different email addresses, company name);
- Any information that could confirm your purchase of FineReader:
- Reference order number;
- Purchase credentials/confirmation.
If you purchased the boxed version of the program, you can find the serial number on a card inside the CD case or printed on EULA.
The serial number of ABBYY product license looks like XXXX-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY, where X - letters, Y - numbers.
In case FineReader is installed on the PC, the serial number could be restored by the Support ID (open FineReader -> menu Help -> About -> License Info).

In Help -> About -> License Info i saw a key containing 24 numbers, no letters at all. When i uninstalled Abbyy in order to install it on another computer, with this activation key, it told me that the serial number is invalid. Now i don't have any working installation... What can i do to recover my activation key?

Hi — This is very frustrating, as I've been having this problem for over a month, and have not been able to activate the product. I opened a support ticket, and was advised to reinstall the latest build—which I did, but the problem was not solved; it's been over a week, and I've received no response.
It's very frustrating to pay good money on a product, and a month later it's still not working. A reply with a workable solution would be very much appreciated.
