PagesSlice attribute determines how many pages will be processed by each processing core simultaneously. You can read more via the link: FineReader Server Help: Configuration File (Attributes > PagesSlice).
You can determine the most accurate PagesSlice value for your workload using this formula:
PagesSlice = 2 * X * T / N,
where
Х – maximum number of large files;
Т – average recognition time of a large file during a full load while processing a large amount of files (to measure T you would need to turn on only one process in the processing station's properties and process a large file to see its processing time. It should be measured in minutes);
N – number of processes on all processing stations (configured in processing station's properties).
