How to create a data set inside FlexiCapture 12 with an Excel table as a source.
Answer
To do that follow the next steps:
- Select needed data > Right-click > Define Name > Enter table name > Save and close your Excel file. Please check the screenshot below:
- Then open Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Administrative Tools > ODBC Data Source (64-bit) and follow the steps from the screenshot below:
- Then go to the Document Definition editor > Properties > Data Sets.
- Open needed data set.
- Select Source: Database.
- Specify connection string:
- Provider: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers.
- Open the Connection tab.
- Select the User data source name: Excel Files.
- Enter the initial catalog to use: select your Excel workbook from the dropdown.
- Select the database table:
