Is there a way to manually add a Vendor record to the Vendor Data Set using the FlexiCapture interface?
Answer
Add Record or Edit Record interface buttons allows user to create a Data Set record with a temporary ID. Please note that any vendor record with a temporary ID will be deleted the next time Data Set is synchronized with the Data Set Source (i.e., master Database, external file, etc.).
To make the added data permanent, you would need to add these records to the Data Set Source. After you add the new records to the Data Set Source, manually added to the Data Set records will be given the proper ID at the time of the next Data Set update.

What If I edit a record by clicking on edit button and then deleting a column value or adding a VATID.
Will the data get deleted then next time I update the dataset ??
eg: I have 2 variants in Vendor Name. I deleted the 2nd data of the 2nd variant. Now there is no value in the 2nd Name column. Also, I added a VAT ID number which was Initally blank.
Now If I update/ sync the dataset will the previous changes gets lost ??

The data set update replaces all the data in the data set with the data from the source.
To make the changes to the data permanent, the changes must be made in the data source.

I am not able to add records to the dataset as the Add record button is disabled for some reason.
How to make sure the button to enabled for the custom created dataset.

One of the columns should have the "Primary key" option enabled:
It will enable the "Add..." option
