I do not want thumbnail previews of my PDFs to show in Windows Explorer. Is there a way to disable this?

By design, if the content of the document is not password protected and the Large or Extra large view option is selected, ABBYY FineReader PDF 15 shows thumbnail previews for PDFs in the file-manager. The icons are displayed only for Small icons: 

In order to see the icons for PDF files instead of previews please try to change your default PDF Viewer to Adobe.

Open Adobe Reader, click Edit, Preferences. Under “General”, disable the option Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer.
