Symptoms

Results received from FineReader Server 14 is different from FineReader PDF 15.

Cause

FineReader Server 14 and FineReader PDF 15 are separate products with different usage scenarios and recognition technologies. It is expected behavior that in some cases the results will not be similar.

• In FineReader PDF 15 the result parameters can be set in program's options.
• In FineReader Server 14 it is necessary to create a workflow to be able to convert the document into a desired format. Note that FineReader Server 14 has more options.

Resolution

Default processing properties in each program are different. Make sure to go through all settings to configure a workflow which will save the document in a desired format.
