How to erase a part of the image in a document in FineReader PDF?

Answer

A part of the document's image can be deleted either in the PDF Editor or in the OCR Editor's Image Editor as described below:

PDF Editor

  1. Open a document in the PDF Editor.
  2. For FineReader PDF version, go to the Security tab, click the Erase button on the toolbar and select the area to erase:

  3. Save the document after changes. 

OCR Editor

  1. Open a document in the OCR Editor.
  2. Go to the Image Editor by clicking the Edit Image button on the toolbar of the Image pane, or by going to the menu Edit > Edit Page Images....
  3. Select the Eraser tool.
  4. Hold down the left mouse button and select the image fragment that should be erased.
  5. Click Exit Image Editor.
  6. Recognize and save a document.

    As I understood it, this is done for one page only, correct?
    In case I don't want the system to read a specific part on ALL PAGES.  (headers and footers for exemple)

    What's the procedure?
