PDF cannot be opened in FineReader 15 with the message: Cannot show the PDF page

Symptoms

When a file is opened in the PDF Editor of FineReader 15, the following message appears:

Cannot show the PDF page.

Cause

The message appears when the resolution value of the file exceeds the maximum one supported by the program. FineReader seamlessly processes the files with the maximum resolution value of 32512 х 32512.

The corresponding message also appears when the file is opened in the OCR Editor.

Resolution

Cut the page into a few smaller ones or crop the page (e.g. if it contains blank spaces on the edges) and process them in FineReader separately.
