Symptoms

Someone is trying to send you a FineReader document folder using Google Drive. When you download it, your PC does not recognize it as a FineReader document folder.  When you try to open it using FineReader, you get the error that it is not recognized as a FineReader document folder.

Cause

Sometimes OCR project can be displayed as a folder when you receive it from another PC.

Resolution

To transfer the OCR-project files via cloud service or email add the OCR-project folder to archive (*.zip, for example) and then upload the zip file to the Cloud drive (attach to the email). After downloading the zip archive, please extract the folder from the archive and then open the OCR project (from the extracted folder).
