Duplicate Screenshot Reader applications after installing FineReader PDF

Issue

Before the purchase of FineReader PDF, the Screenshot Reader 11 software was already installed. Since FineReader PDF also includes the Screenshot Reader tool, two copies of the application appear to be installed. Which one of them should be removed?

Cause

Screenshot Reader can be a separately purchased application or an additional utility for FineReader PDF. Thus, the system displays two separate versions in the system tray that run by default after system startup.

Resolution

It is possible to uninstall the Screenshot Reader 11 program if needed. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Windows search > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  2. Find Screenshot Reader 11, click on More options and select Uninstall.

FineReader PDF contains a bonus Screenshot Reader tool, which is a part of the main program. This bonus Screenshot Reader is installed and uninstalled with FineReader PDF.
