Symptoms

During the attempt to check the updates in FineReader the following error occurs:
Internal program error:
D:\Agent\_work\137\s\0\Shell\Utilities\App.DistrTool\lnc\ReleaseslnfoFile.ini, 563.

Cause

The issue is usually caused by the Firewall or Proxy server.

Resolution

1. Add the following addresses to the whitelist (exceptions) of the Firewall or Proxy server:
   • go.abbyy.com 
   • fineupdate.abbyy.com
   • finereader-updates.abbyy.com
2. Make sure that port 80 is opened.
